Moving from Joblogic? We move your data for you, free.
Send us your Joblogic exports and we import your customers, sites, contacts, assets and parts price list, rebuild your PPM schedules, and set up your subcontractors, job sheets and RAMS. You check everything against Joblogic before anything goes live. PPMdesk is £49 per office user per month, with engineers and subcontractors free.
Joblogic says most of its customers commit to 24 or 36 months, with 12 months available on request. So the date you can switch is usually set by your renewal date and notice period, not by how long the data takes. Find those first, then set PPMdesk up on a free trial in the weeks before.
How the move works
- 1Check your Joblogic contractFind your renewal date and notice period. Joblogic says most customers sign for 24 or 36 months, so the timing of the switch is usually set by the contract, not the data.
- 2Start a free trialOpen a PPMdesk account while Joblogic is still running. Nothing changes for your engineers or clients yet.
- 3Send us your exportsCustomer, site and asset lists, your PPM contract schedules (Joblogic exports these to Excel) and your parts price list. If a list will not export, ask Joblogic support for a full data export.
- 4We import and set upWe bring the data in, rebuild your PPM schedules, and you check it against Joblogic before anything goes live.
- 5Switch overOpen jobs move across, engineers start working from links, and Joblogic is kept read-only until your contract ends.
What we import
Brought in from your exports, matched so nothing is created twice, and shown to you for checking before it goes live.
What we set up with you
Not a straight import: rebuilt from your Joblogic exports and agreed with you, because these are where a firm's way of working lives.
What does not move
Better to know now than on go-live day.
- Closed jobs and job history. Keep your Joblogic export as the record; PPMdesk starts from your open work.
- Invoices already issued. Those stay in Joblogic and your accounts package; PPMdesk invoices from the day you switch.
- Stock and van stock levels. PPMdesk has no stock control, so there is nowhere to put them.
If you rely on SFG20 schedules, stock control or an accounts package other than Xero, PPMdesk is not the right move. See PPMdesk vs Joblogic for the full comparison.
Moving from Joblogic: FAQs
How much does it cost to move from Joblogic to PPMdesk?
Nothing. We import your customers, sites, contacts, assets and parts price list and rebuild your PPM schedules for free as part of getting started. PPMdesk itself is £49 per office user per month, billed monthly or yearly, with engineers and subcontractors free.
Can I move before my Joblogic contract ends?
You can, but you will usually still be paying Joblogic until the end of the term. Joblogic says most customers commit to 24 or 36 months. The common approach is to set PPMdesk up during a free trial, run it alongside Joblogic for your last weeks, and switch when the contract allows.
Will my PPM schedules come across?
Yes. Joblogic exports PPM contract schedules to Excel; we use that export to rebuild each site's planned visits, frequencies and units in PPMdesk, and you check them before go-live.
Do my engineers need to learn a new app?
There is no app to install. Engineers open each job from a link sent by text or email and fill in the job sheet in their phone's browser, offline if there is no signal.
What does PPMdesk not do that Joblogic does?
PPMdesk has no SFG20 library, no stock control or purchasing, and connects only to Xero for accounts. If you rely on any of those, stay with Joblogic or check carefully before you switch.
